My daughter, dog and I had just returned from a walk and I was putting the stroller away on the front porch when I looked up to the corner of the covered deck and saw a little birdie in a nest. I was so excited! I love that she's raising her little family nestled up against my home and our little family protected from the wind, rain and whatever else Mother Nature will throw at us this spring. I think it's so special and I can't wait until her eggs hatch. When my husband got home tonight he was quite a bit less enthused. He thinks she's going to start dive-bombing us. Guess we'll wait and see. I wonder how loud they will be? The nest is right by my daughter's window...
